Trading on Stream this year has been hard!

As you can see my profit and loss over the 67 trades taken on stream is like a coin flip. 

My Cumulative Profit/Loss is also on a down trend! 

I am going to take an extended break and try and sort out my patience and strategy as it has been poor lately.

Second payout this week from Take Profit trader. I am trading these accounts differently than Apex and have held them for much longer taking 1 contract scalps. 

Seems to build nicely doing this so may need to implement this on my Apex Accounts as they have had a tough year so far.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a quick update. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to trade much in the later part of the week due to work commitments and some personal matters. Everything is good on my end, but as I reflect on my trades over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed that I’ve been making impulsive decisions, losing some patience and discipline.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to lock in my profits for this year and take a step back. I’m going to be tied up with a lot of things in December, so taking a break from trading and recharging seems like the right move. I plan to come back refreshed and ready to tackle the markets in January.

I hope to find the time to put together a year-end review and reflect on how my trading has evolved in 2024.

Since March, I’ve withdrawn $31,777 from Apex, making this my best year yet. There’s still plenty of fine-tuning to be done, but I’m confident that my trading will continue to improve, and my profits should grow accordingly.

This is just the beginning, and I’m excited about the future of my trading career.

Thank you all for your incredible support throughout the year. I’ll be back in 2025! Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and a healthy, prosperous New Year.

26th of November 2024 - $3000 payout Denied

I put in a $500 per account payout request to see if I qualified for a payout. Due to my drawdown exceeding the 30% I was sure I would not get approved and sure enough they denied the payout on the basis  that I broke that rule. 

Not to worry though just need to trade 8 more days and then submit another request. I have absolute no issue with this as it is clearly stated as a rule with the Apex 3.0 update.

In times that these things happen you just need to keep a cool head and keep trading as you have been. 

Current status of account as of now. Should be back monday. Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiven and enjoys the extended weekend.

12th of November 2024 - $1277 payout Approved and sent same day

Another payout requested on 2 of my 6 Apex PA accounts. Taking small amounts at the moment and building. 

15th of October 2024 - $6000 payout Approved in 24 Minutes!

Just recieved my 8th Payout from Apex since March. 

Apex took 24 minutes to Approve! As I said last month.. Read the rules… follow the rules…

Another $6k month!

$30k withdrawn since March. 

17th of September 2024 - $6000 payout in rapid time

Just recieved my 7th Payout from Apex since March. 

Apex took Less than 24 hours for approval. Read the rules… follow the rules… until I see anything different Apex are still my number 1 firm.

Another $6k month.

Never had an issue and withdrawn $24k since March.

10th of September 2024 - Stats since 1st of August

Looking at my Stats on my APEX PA Account from the 1st of August.

Some nice consistent trading with my Win rate up at 84% scalping for 2 points!

Patience and copy trading really helps amplify the returns. Accepting losses is the Key and being in the flow.

If you are feeling stuck in a rut take a week off to chill away from that charts and this is the results. I have stepped away twice this year and came back with a much clearer mind.

14th of August 2024 - Payout 6 Approved for $6000

I have been dabbling with adding more prop accounts from different firms to my account. Apex is still my go to and after another payout delivered I can't complain!

The time this one took was 14 Days which I think is too long to wait! Other Firms are sending payments within 24 hours so improvement is needed there.

Apart from that I cannot fault them. Lots of noise at the moment on Apex with people getting denied etc. Stick with the rules and you will be ok. 

24th of May 2024 - Burnout and break required.

I lost 2 of my 4 PAs today. I am going to take a couple of weeks away from the screen to refresh. 

I done this back in February and I managed to come back with a much clearer mind and got a few payouts. Overall I am now profitable in trading when I look at my input (software, account fees, courses) compared to my output (Prop payments, affiliate payments (thanks all who support me and use my code)). So therefore I’m not throwing money at this and will continue with my 2 PAs that are intact when I return. 

I think I feel a bit burnt out on the charts lately and I am doing the usual over risking and taking too many trades. It’s good to be able to take a step back and look at the bigger picture or you could really end up pouring money into this. Treat it as a business and don’t let a few weeks of bad trading define you as a trader. Keep the inputs to a minimum and try and build a good business.

1st of May 2024 - Payout #4 Achieved!

Long way to go but starting to get some progress with 4 payouts secured Since March.

1st of May 2024 - Payout #3 Achieved!

3rd Payout target met - Just need to wait until the 1st of May to submit a withdrawl request. 

Not as steady of an equity curve this time. I am averaging between 65-75% win rate which needs improvement but it might just be my approach that dictates that. As long as I am making profit I am happy for now.

Seem to be taking more risks on this account and I am not sure whether it is because I did not expect much from it. I have already taken $2000 from this account only leaving me with the $600 buffer so pretty happy I managed to get 2 Payouts from this PA!!

I am trading with the idea that once a PA has payed out it has served its purpose and if I lose it is not so bad a loss to take. 

I may add a 3rd PA in May and trade 3. Need to slowly build my arsenal. I am still trading PA 2 account which is building streadily so I will be trading that one on stream until I get the payout from this one.

1st of April 2024 - Payout #2 Achieved!

I wasn't going to trade today as I thought the volume was low due to bank holidays across the world. I started off my day with a poor trade on stream! Fading what I thought was a trap. I was only on stream for around 25 minutes today and turned it off and continued watching the charts as I wasn't in a good mood to start with (I usually I don't trade when in this headspace but due to my limited availability to trade this week I wanted to get a few days at least on the charts). I entered on a reversal looking to make the daily lows for a retest. Although I took extra contracts for a runner I think my trade was good and I managed to meet the payment target. I have added runners to a few of my trades this month where I felt it was worth the risk.. also scaled upto 2 contracts per trade which I think is my sweetspot. 

Attached Below is my equity curve for my April Payout. 

Around 70% Win % pretty consistantly throughout the month which also ties into my payout stats last month. Some consistency seems to be there as the stats are very similar for both payouts so far. 

Plenty of work to be done though! Need to fine tune my entries and seem to be taking agressive trades with a slim edge in my favour so that needs sorted.. thinking too much on occasion trying to predict what I think will happen over just sticking to the Key entry points. 

Again this shows going for 1:1 R:R can reap rewards with a lower win rate than is often thrown around. Consistency and limiting losses (walking away after a couple of poor trades in a day) seems to be the key this past couple of months.

1st of March 2024 - Payout Achieved!

Some Good news. Finally I have managed to get a payout from APEX. Win % is not where I would want it to at 68% long term but I have been going for 8-10 Ticks in all trades so that is enough of an edge to build steadily! As you can see I had a few days where I had losses but keeping these low and setting myself a daily loss limit has certainly been the gamechanger for me. Onto the next stage of the Journey of adding another PA account to my arsenal and seeing where it takes me from here. I will make a video in due course. 

25th of January 2024 update

Hi All! 3rd PA since the start of December Lost!

I am not trading well and it is time to face the music! I am not willing to throw more money at more PA's at this time when my mindset and trading is so off and verging on gambling.

I am going to take a break from trading. I am not enjoying trading at the moment and it feels like a chore more than anything. I am going to focus on enjoying my life and seeing how it feels to not be at a chart for hours every day on top of my high demanding day job. 

I have invested a lot of time and effort into this journey so far and I have traded week in week out since early 2021 and it is time to take some time away.

I have faith in PATS and am certain I will return in a refreshed more long term mindset which I have seemed to lose at this time.

I hope to return one day back into the community.

Account has been blown. I need to take a step back and come back with a fresh outlook. 

Starts to get concerning when you keep making the same mistakes so that needs rectified.

9th of January 2024 update

Tough start to this PA.  8 Days into the account and getting no traction to start building it consistently. Only change I have made is scaling up to 2 contracts from previous PA's. 

Will be back tomorrow at open to continue to build. Hopefully I stop taking agressive trades and chasing losses.

Learning is still ongoing. Can't outsmart the market.

Finished december with my new PA account. Traded the new PA for 3 days on stream with some mixed results and decisions. I need to stop trading large channels when it is clearly ranging and plenty of support and resistance levels to be careful of. We refresh and come back in the new year. Will review these trading days from December and read some books to come back stronger and more level headed. Seem to be trading my PA with a higher risk threshold similar to how I treat an evaluation account so that needs to change.

I end the year with my PA account kicked off in small profit of +$123. This leaves me in a good position to return at the beginning of 2024 and build like I know I am capable of.

As shown below early December was a tough month for me! Chasing that payout and hitting that brick wall. Very close to requesting a payout and one moment of madness blows the account! Will be put down to a learning cost and I will push forward.
